Question:
Servo, PezPlaya, I need help.
I have absolutely no clue about My motherboard. Here is what I can tell you. My processor is PII 350MHz. My motherboard
has 5 regular sockets(Possible PCI or ISA), plus one graphics card socket (AGP).
Here is the question:
Given that my computer was purchased exactly 2 years ago, with the original package containing the PII 350, and originally with 64 MBs R.A.M., and an 8 mb ATI graphics card, what would you think are the expansion abilities for my motherboard without frying it to death. Ok, I may have sounded like I was joking around, but Servo, and PezPlaya, please try and answer this at your best answering ability.
Answer:
There are other things you can do to speed up your computer also. You can click on our Library link (to the
left) and click the link about speeding up your computer for more information. If you want to get a new processor,
like a PIII, then you will have to buy a new motherboard and processor, but you can keep the same video card, sound
card, and other cards that you might have in your computer. If you don't want to upgrade or buy a new computer
than try uninstalling programs you don't use, and try de-fragmenting your hard drive. There are more details in
the library about speeding up your computer. If you have any more questions please feel free to contact us by
email or through the forum. Companies may offer an "upgrade" service which will allow you to trade in
your old PC for a new one (with a price). The problem with all these companies competing is that so much equipment
may not be a standard form. Either call up or e-mail your company asking if the offer any upgrade services, they
may be pricey but they will fit your case.
